A non-porous tile is required on the waterline of marble plastered swimming pools, thereby ensuring that the marble plaster stay submerged in water which extend its workinglife.
Normally a 150mm to 200mm line of mosaic or solid tiles are installed on the waterline of marble plastered pools and ponds. Swemgat recommend that customers with special requirements go to stores such as CTM, Builders Warehouse, Chamberlains or Union Tiles to select from the newest tile ranges available.
Please note that slate tiles should rather not be used, due its porous nature which may cause leaks in future.
